The University of Auckland

University of Auckland (Waipapa Taumata Rau) is New Zealand's largest and highest-ranked university, founded in 1883. It's based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), with over 40,000 students across six faculties — spanning arts, business, education, engineering, law, medical and health sciences, and science — plus several dedicated research institutes. 

It's a research-led institution with international agreements with universities in over 30 countries, and its te reo Māori name, Waipapa Taumata Rau, was gifted by Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, the mana whenua of the Auckland area.
